2024 Travel Bucketlist

In an ideal world... where do I want to go in 2024 and what do I want to do?

With only a couple of months left of university, 2024 is still a little unpredictable for me in terms of my travel capabilities. However... this doesn't stop a girl from dreaming! Therefore, here is my 2024 travel bucket list:

Vienna, Austria:

I was raised around architecture and so Vienna is an absolute dream for me. With so many beautiful buildings, museums and streets, its heaven for a city explorer! I am still debating whether I wait to go at Christmastime... look up Vienna at Christmas and you'll understand why!

Reykjavik, Iceland:

Fun fact... I was almost going to go here the Winter just past! However, when the volcano happened, a lot of what I wanted to do (such as the natural spas and nature trails) were closed! Therefore, this one will have to wait but I am determined to see the Northern Lights. My parents have told me that apparently I saw them when I went to Lapland as a kid but I think I was far too focussed on the fact I met the real Santa Claus to focus on some lights in the sky so I'm determined to enjoy them this time!

Madrid / Barcelona / Valencia, Spain:

As you can tell, I'm not picky about where in Spain but I really want to travel to Spain on my own! I've been many times with my parents but never ventured on my own. I've just started the B1 class in Spanish at university and I hope that I'd be able to go out there and speak in Spanish more naturally with locals. I have already been to Valencia and fell in love with the city so I wonder if my travels will take me back...

Somewhere in Greece:

Every girl is lying if they tell you that they don't want to have their very own Mamma Mia moment. Especially after the second film came out, the idea of exploring Greece on my own is just far too enticing! Where in Greece? Not sure but I know some Greek people who I'm sure will give me recommendations if I need them.

Now... REALISTICALLY will I be able to visit all of these? No. I haven't got the time or funds for that but I'd like to visit at least one this year! You're also probably wondering why these are all European... time and funds! At the moment I don't really have time for much more than a long weekend and, being a student, I'm naturally lower on money at the moment and so these are key factors as to why my next solo trip is likely to be in Europe. I absolutely love the idea of going back to Asia at some point (either Japan or back to Korea!) but it doesn't fit my lifestyle at the moment to take another trip like that.

In the meantime, these are just dreams but stay tuned for updates on Chapter 2 of Tegan's solo travels...
